Rick\u2019s Motorsport Electrics now offers new charging kits for the older 305\/350\/360 Honda\u2019s. The new kits are Rick\u2019s original redesign: a single phase, full wave system. They include a modern solid-state rectifier\/regulator and a stator. It will fit 1959-67 CB\/CL77\u2019s, 1969-73 CB\/CL350\u2019s and 1974-76 CB\/CL360\u2019s.<\/p>\n
This new kit from Rick\u2019s Motorsport Electrics puts out 25% more power than the stock system and will support a 55 watt headlight It will also supply constant power to the bike\u2019s battery. However, unlike the OE set-up, the bike will charge with or without the headlights being on because of the higher voltage produced by new system. There are complete instructions included for an easy installation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe OE pieces only use 1\/3 of the power without lights turned on, says company president Rick Shaw. \u201cOur kit uses all of the generator\u2019s power with or without lights, and stores it in the battery.\u201d Part #\u2019s 99-101<\/a> and 99-102<\/a>, the kits retail for $225 and come with a one year warranty. They are made in the USA and available immediately from Rick\u2019s Motorsport Electrics.
