If connectors are not inspected & maintained, the cycle will continue and the problems will increase.<\/p>\n

Here are some examples of bad connectors that we’ve seen on customer’s parts.\u00a0 If you have something that looks like this – you need to do some repair work right away!<\/p>\n

So what can you do about it?\u00a0 We’re here to help!<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Step 1: Inspect<\/h4>\n

Inspect every connector whenever an electrical part is replaced.\u00a0Have your connector kit, part #\u00a011-501<\/a>\u00a0($92.95) on hand for repairs.<\/p>\n

Dealing with: Corrosion<\/h4>\n

If corrosion is just starting: remove connector(s) and sand blast, wire brush, etc to clean the area.<\/p>\n

Dealing with: Melted Plugs<\/h4>\n

If plug is melted: remove all plugs & replace them with new components using Rick\u2019s Motorsport crimping tool \u2013 Part#\u00a011-001<\/a>\u00a0($77.95)<\/p>\n

In some cases, terminals may need to be soldered to the wires. Depending on the degree of corrosion, some wire in the harness may need to be replaced as well.
