{"id":912,"date":"2014-11-04T21:34:46","date_gmt":"2014-11-04T21:34:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ricksmotorsportelectrics.com\/tips\/?p=912"},"modified":"2014-11-04T21:34:46","modified_gmt":"2014-11-04T21:34:46","slug":"get-ready-for-snow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ricksmotorsportelectrics.com\/blog\/get-ready-for-snow\/","title":{"rendered":"Get Ready for Snow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve already had our first snowfall here in New Hampshire, so that means winter is right around the corner!\u00a0\u00a0Hopefully you took care of your sled before you put it away for the summer, but if you forgot then now is the perfect time to get it ride ready.<\/p>\n<p>You want to be able to start up your sled\u00a0and start riding as soon as the snow hits;\u00a0\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0wait until you\u2019re\u00a0ready to head out on the trails to check things out. \u00a0When you wake up to\u00a08&#8243; of fresh snow\u00a0you don\u2019t want to deal with\u00a0fixing a torn track, a bad stator, or realize you didn\u2019t\u00a0drain your carbs last year.\u00a0\u00a0Whatever the problem is, it will keep you from riding when you want to. \u00a0So take this time to get your machine in good shape. \u00a0Give it a good inspection. \u00a0Has it been started since last year? \u00a0Have you made sure there is good gas in it? \u00a0What about checking for those pesky mice making a home in your air box? \u00a0Are there any repairs you told yourself, &#8220;I&#8217;ll just get to that in the summer&#8221;, that you didn&#8217;t get to?<\/p>\n<p>Some areas have a fairly long snow mobile season while others have a couple months at most. \u00a0However long your season is, you want to make sure you can maximize your on-sled time. \u00a0So go check on your sled now before the snow causes your local deal\/repair shop to have a waiting list that goes to May, and every part you need\u00a0seems to be on back order. \u00a0Trust me, your sled misses you!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Is your snowmobile ready for the season?
